A company required to follow the Workplace Safety and Health (First-Aid) Regulations unless their workplace belongs to the followings: 

– Any hospital

– Any medical clinic

Since the purpose of having first aid is to prevent the injury from becoming worse till a medical practitioner or nurse comes, first aid in a hospital or medical clinic is not needed as they have an abundance of such medical practitioners and items.

That is why the Workplace Safety and Health (First-Aid) Regulations do not apply to the above 2 types of workplaces.
